| Small Sterling Silver Souvenir Spoon with "Mexico" down the handle, eagle as the top piece to the handle, round intaglio Aztec design bowl with vermiel (gold wash, gold plate, gilt) background. The Aztec motif and vermiel are characteristic of Aguilar's designs in the 1940s. The uppermost left-hand and first word of the signature is only partial and unreadable, second word is "Mexico," alongside a partial "HA" round, early stamp of Hector Aguilar, and "PVE" lower left, undoubtedly for one of the studio's artists, followed by "925." It measures 3.50" long, .875" diameter bowl. From the estate of one who traveled and collected fine quality sterling spoons. Condition is excellent. c. 1940s. $12 US Shipping.
