Very rare colors in this "canne di fusione," fused canes 1950s Murano Art Glass Bowl, sometimes referred to as a "ribbon bowl." This unusual piece was likely created by Fratelli Toso, in canes of transparent emerald green, transparent aquamarine twisted with opaque white, jet black twisted with opaque white, and opaque yellow, all within a thin layer of crystal clear, except for the yellow which wears the same yellow, although transparent, as its outer casing. The striking bowl with two straight-snipped sides has been further shaped into two inward-folded corners, and two reverse-curled corners. The base is a freeform thin, crystal foot. The foot on this piece has a small chip on one edge, pictured. About 7.50" long, 4" wide, and 2.50" tall (19.05 x 10.16 x 6.35 cm). Excellent overall condition, with only the small foot chip, mentioned. $14 US Shipping. |
