1818 - 1858 Woodblock Print by Ando Hiroshige (1797-1858) Japan, on paper, mounted in upper corners to card; note on card: "The genuineness of this print is guaranteed by S. M. Shiba, Miyanoshita, as attested by his seal, similar to that on the back lower corner of this print." Indeed, the red oval mark is on the reverse corner as stated. Measures apx. 15.25" x 10" (39 x 26 cm); oban tateye, Ukiyoe, identified as "The Great Bridge at Senju," in "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo." Condition: Foxing and yellowing, 1/2" tear upper right corner in margin, hole in treetops above and to the left of largest white sail. $14 US Shipping. |
