6 Poindexter Coin Silver Spoons Double Fiddle 1845-1870
Six (6) 19th Century Coin Silver Spoons by "Poindexter," each with monogram of "WGF," in the "double swell fiddle" pattern, made in Lexington, Kentucky. All six have wear and age issues, with the two 6-1/8" dessert/tea spoon bowls having the most damage; one is even split at the shank (see photos). Each of the 9" table/serving spoons has condition issues in the bowl, although far less in comparison to the smaller spoons. With the right tools and some patience, the four larger spoons might be corrected to near-original shape, but we cannot be sure that the smaller two can be corrected. We do not, of course, guarantee any can be totally restored, and are only offering our best judgment on these pieces. Condition as described and photographed. c. 1845-1870. $14 US Shipping includes insurance.
