Rare blue coloring in this soffiati (very thin) Italian art glass Sherbet-Champagne. Eight sides to the, double, opposing baluster stem, both balusters with interior air chambers (large bubbles), stems attached to bowl, attached flanged foot with folded rim, snapped sharp pontil mark. Sherbets measure 4.25" tall, 3.50" diameter rim, 2.625" diameter foot. Two available. All pieces in excellent, undamaged condition, and all bear the usual tiny interior bubbles, with perhaps a small inclusion or two. Sherbets are a slightly less dense color than the goblets. c. 1920-1930. $10 US Shipping for one. [see matching goblets listed separately] |
