Late Edo or Early Meiji, colorful porcelain Bowl and Cover, unmarked as to maker; three cartouches of a robed figure, and three of foliage. The mythical Kirin is painted in blue in the center interior of the bowl and inside the lid, both within a double blue circle. Bowl with Lid measures about 4-1/2" diameter, 3-1/2" tall. Antique fine porcelain SAUCER for Ramekin/Custard Cup, by ROYAL TETTAU, GERMANY, and with mark of 1885-1902. Saucer is about 4-1/2" diameter. Pattern name, in German, is "Strohblumen," or in English, "Strawflower." This was a popular Meissen and Royal Copenhagen design, copied by many factories at the time. Outstanding turquoise glaze Chinese Bowl, which is a deeper/darker turquoise than it appears in our photos. Bowl is unmarked, but has an old import label printed "Made in China." Removed for photos, but accompanys bowl. Approximate measurements are 3-1/2" rim diameter, 4-3/4" shoulder diameter, 2-1/8" base diameter, 3" tall. Several areas which we consider firing flaws, and we've tried to offer closeups of most of those areas. All-over crazing...

A small, beautifully hand-enameled Wine Pot or Water Vessel, with spout, lid, and twisted bail handles; on three attached ceramic feet; much detail and symbolism in the blue, green, orange, and yellow raised enamel, and gilt decoration. Beautiful, old, repousse figural SALT SPOON, in "835" Silver, with a single illegible hallmark (possibly an "S" in a circle); could be German, Dutch, or from Belgium. Shipton & Co. STERLING SILVER SALT SPOON, with JADE 3-leaf clover handle. Twisted silver handle topped by what we believe is a nephrite jade clover (although we do not guarantee it to be jade). Marked on bowl as "silver" with the Shipton & Co circa 1935 hallmarks. Shipton & Co., Ltd., Birmingham, England, have been in business since 1870 to present. While the bowl does not state "sterling," it does test positive for sterling silver...
