Very tiny buff clay YIXING POTTERY CLAY TEAPOT or WATER POT, with red, blue, and yellow enameled flowers, and scattered celedon enamel such as a bit on the finial, on spout, around rim, and on handle loops; there's even a little gilt on the finial, rim, and handle loops. Totally made by hand, and apparently quite old. We do not know the exact age, but suggest it may be 18th Century, or older...

Rarely seen Chintz pattern by Royal Winton. Familiar mark of 1937-1950, "Royal Winton, Grimwades, Made in England," in gold, on base. Measures 4.5" (11.43 cm) tall, 5" (12.7 cm) spout-handle, 3" (7.62 cm) front-back at rim, 2.5" (6.35 cm) diameter foot. Pair of 19th Century Patch Boxes, or Jars; Sterling Silver, chased lids, both lids without damage. Each marked twice, "Sterling," and "Sterling BENS." Faceted Crystal bases are unmarked; with the exception of one tiny chip to one jar, pictured, they are in superb condition. Both were found packed in a 19th Century trunk among several fine articles from the 1800s. Both the silver and the crystal shine beautifully, and this feature is not captured in the photographs...

Pastel by Sir George Clausen (1852-1944) England, titled "Ploughing the Field," ("plowing" would be the American spelling). Clausen often created quick studies in preparation for finished works. This piece appears to be one of those Studies, in that the figures are impressionistic and quickly sketched. A man guides a hand-plough, being pulled by two large animals. Sunlight is just beginning to break over the hill, and furrows may be seen in the soil to the right...

Delightful little fella, handpainted in France,in vivid colors, a porcelain parrot Flask or Perfume, with much detail in the feathering; touches of matte finish gilding as well as bordering the base. The parrot's bronze collar is the point at which the bottle opens.
