Vintage Russian Handpainted Lacquer Box in its own original cotton-lined Box. It appears that this sweet box has been stored, perfectly preserved, for a number of years. The stamp on the storage box reads: "Made in USSR, Apt 3771."

The lacquer box is gilt-signed, very tiny, in Cyrillic, at the lower edge of the lid, as well as giving information about the artist and fairy tale depicted in the painting. It is also gilt-signed on the inside edge, "Made in USSR, NE145."

Pair of two-color gilt frames, with scrollwork and handpainting. Style apppears to be on the order of Russian. Each frame has a velvet-covered wood liner which can be removed if desired. Sight area is about 7" x 10", sight with velvet liner removed is about 10.75" x 13.50", outside of frame is about 15.50" x 18.50".

Mid-20th Century Leather Lamp, strikingly dyed in forest green with impressed, heat applied gold leaf patterns at the upper and lower levels of the columns, and around the oval base. 16" (40.64 cm) to the top of the columns, 27" (68.58 cm) to top of the harp, base is 10" x 6.50" (25.40 x 16.51 cm). 1940-60s Italian, very likely Barovier, Florentine 4-arm Candelabrum with tool-worked, art glass Flowers--crystal with included gold, metal arms, roping and leaf-work, wooden torso and base. 27.5" (69.85 cm) tall without bulbs, 11" (27.94 cm) diameter, base 7" (17.78 cm) diameter. "Made In Italy" impressed into wood base, and camouflaged metal tag around center arm which also says "Made In Italy." Rare Ceramic Lamp, the very first Chintz pattern, "Marguerite," by Royal Winton, Grimwades, created in 1928. It was an immediate success, followed by many other, now famous, chintz patterns. This lamp dates to that time, and has, of course since been discontinued.

American handmade, handpainted naive, folk pine box. Cherry red ground with blue and white painted sailing ship flying an American stars and stripes flag on lid; anchor and snake on face of box. Brass hinges; marks on the sides where handles were once affixed. 12.50" wide, 6.25" deep, 5.75" tall (31.75 x 15.87 x 14.60 cm). Early 20th Century giltwood Mirror, carved, inside beading, gentle curves of modified Rococo Revival, with carved floral crest and leaf cartouche. 21.5" (54.61 cm) tall, 13.5" (34.29 cm) upper width, 11.5" (29.21 cm) lower width. Pre-Masonite type backing, held by small, flattened nails. Condition is very good with surface stress cracks common and age-confirming to the older frames; a few small edge spots where the gold has flaked to the gesso, and minor aging to the glass.
