VERY well done painting, oil on board, by artist/art teacher, Oklahoma native, Lee Bocock, Cherokee Choctaw heritage. Painting depicts a residential teepee on the American plains as it might have appeared over a hundred years ago; completely authentic; capable of rousing emotions, especially those of the impression of solitude and peacefulness.

Doris Riker Beers (1898-1967) painted a watercolor series of "Views of Nantucket" of which this is one, "Orange Street," showing the South Tower of the Unitarian Church, built in 1809, and famous for the old Portuguese Bell which tolls at 7am, Noon, and 9pm. Signed in pencil, lower right. The miniature watercolor measures 3-7/8" x 3-3/8", matted and framed to 9" x 8". Condition is excellent with slight yellowing to the margins of the paper and the mat. $16 US Shipping.

Fine impressionist Oil Painting on board, by listed Soviet artist, Vasili (also, Vasiley) Andrrianovich Zaitchenko (1912-1980s), of Barges on the Black Sea. Zaitchenko was born in Odessa which was then part of the Soviet Union, and which gained its independence as part of the Ukraine subsequent to his death.
