Pressed glass with the look of cut glass; tops are unmarked, probably silverplate. They clean up beautifully, shiny bright, with a little silver polish. The shakers are small, individual sets, 2 salts and 2 peppers. Each measures about 2.75" tall, with a base diameter of about 1.25". Simple elegance in this lovely Crystal Vase by Steuben, designed in 1949, by David Hills. In the thick heavy base, resides a single large bubble, the "tear drop." A small, footed, unsigned, Steuben bowl in Carder's "Florentia" pattern, no. 6785, with random bubbles, and five applied leaves encircling the base of the bowl, designed in the style of Venetian glass, "facon de Venise." Carder's design notes indicate this bowl was made in green and "cinnamon."
