Very rare colors in this "canne di fusione," fused canes 1950s Murano Art Glass Bowl, sometimes referred to as a "ribbon bowl." This unusual piece was likely created by Fratelli Toso, in canes of transparent emerald green, transparent aquamarine twisted with opaque white, jet black twisted with opaque white, and opaque yellow, all within a thin layer of crystal clear, except for the yellow which wears the same yellow, although transparent, as its outer casing. Rarely seen Chintz pattern by Royal Winton. Familiar mark of 1937-1950, "Royal Winton, Grimwades, Made in England," in gold, on base. Measures 4.5" (11.43 cm) tall, 5" (12.7 cm) spout-handle, 3" (7.62 cm) front-back at rim, 2.5" (6.35 cm) diameter foot. Transfer print in green, with handpainted splashes of pink, yellow, orange, and blue. Manufacturing flaw in gilding at rim, pictured. Excellent condition. c. 1940. $12 US Shipping.
