From the second Egyptian Revival period, we believe, following the discovery of King Tutankhamen's tomb in 1922, a 2" diameter Sterling Silver Pendant and 18" chain; two impressed Egyptian hallmarks on verso, one a symbol repeated in similar jewelry found during our search, which we interpret to indicate "sterling." 19th Century Necklace in gold-tone mounts and chain, is from the Victorian era, and likely made on the Island of Murano, in Italy, where creating glass with the appearance of natural stones was an art. Each cut, multi-faceted stone has the appearance of dark Citrine, or Tourmaline, complete with the inclusion lines. Embedded into the beautifully colored glass is a chunk of opaque white, obviously the creation of a master glass craftsman.
