Americana at its best; a 19th-20th Century, North Dakota Cabinetmaker, Herbert Asp, made this occasional table by hand, in the winter of 1917. His wife created the embroidery which is designed to stretch under the glass top. The embroidery is against a net-type backing, and is of silk thread; "before" photos show it against yellow satin background.
