A rare, small art glass Ewer, with swirling cobalt blue and white canes, either from Venice, or facon de venise from perhaps France. A double handle is shaped from leaves, tiny stylized fleur d' lis make up the borders around the mouth and neck of the ewer, and it rests on three ornate scrolling feet. Both the underside of the spout and the band at the base are completely covered in embossed floral decorations. Small art glass Bowl in a finish called "girasol" by the 19th Century Venetians. It resembles French Opaline, but is thinner and transparent, with a hint of iridescent colors seen throughout. This attractive and interesting square bowl has an attached folded foot (please excuse the ring of dust on the inside--removable by soaking in soapy water), and the original sharp pontil mark. Late 19th Century,Fratelli Toso, attr., 1870, Venetian Finger Bowl and Underplate in opalescent girasol and much included gold in a diamond pattern. Both pieces have generous rolled edges and sharp pontils. Yellow and blue Fire of the glass is best seen against a dark background and with light, although also beautiful otherwise. Bowl measures 3" high by 5" diameter. Underplate is 1.75" high by just over 7" diameter. Excellent condition. Circa 1870. $18 US shipping.

acon de Venise (in the style of Venice) candlestick, is just over 13" (33.02 cm) tall, with a base of 5" (12.70 cm) diameter; unsigned. Maker could be Venetian, or possibly even Steuben, American. Folded foot and rims, shadow-ribbed throughout, threading at throat of the holder, vertical rigaree on 4 sides near the attached stem; attached foot, snapped pontil (usual for Venetian, and for Steuben when the inside base is held up off the table surface, as in this base). Delicate pink glass containing tiny specks of darker pink (mottled), and lots of included gold. The finial is in the shape of a large 5-petal flower which has been tool-worked to show texture; six large stamen are richly included with gold, and all is attached to the center of the lid. A roped glass crystal border encircles the base, also gold included, as is the entire bowl. Both the base and the inside of the lid retain their sharp, snapped-off pontils. 19th Century Venetian Art Glass Dessert Bowl, octagonal with aquamarine blue exterior "tadpole" drop applications, as well as matching aqua on rim of bowl and on the attached foot. There is a fine layer of gold dust throughout the entire piece; slightly sharp pontil.
