Offered as a pair, rare, exquisite portraits of brother and sister, skillfully handpainted in 1881 by "F. A. Francis, NY." Both plates are marked by impression, "Wedgwood WG," and both are signed on the front by the artist, the girl also being dated. Slightly larger than his sister, the boy's charger is a generous 15" diameter, while the girl's charger is nearly 14" diameter. Both are in excellent undamaged condition. Porcelain, Salmon pink ground on this elegant Jug, Creamer, by Royal Crown Derby, in a most graceful style; antique, with mark as early as 1890. Hand-gilded in raised bamboo pattern, differing on each side, and under the spout; gold bamboo stem handle, gilded rim and base. 4.75" (12.06 cm) tall, 3.5" (8.89 cm) largest diameter, plus handle. One small scratch (pictured) above gilding; otherwise excellent condition. c. 1890-1921. $14 US Shipping.
